Funding and Grants for Charities and Not for Profit organisations

I want to talk about funding and grants in my blog for many weeks, as area that I feel very strongly about and I believe that my thoughts continue to be made public. This is a rant for so long to bear with me, as I think many of you will agree that I wanted to say.

In many charitable organizations, rather than rely on profit organizations on funding and grants, trusts, lottery, but many governments to increase funding for awarding bodies to carry out their daily activities. Through my years involved in charitable organizations and not for profit organizations, I have never been worse, harder, or time for such organizations exist in.

Now I have a media background so every week I buy a copy of Guardian on Monday the media for their part, which is very well respected in media circles. In this section are pages and pages of the media last sites. Well, that would be used for commercial affairs, as now, when I open it, it seems, more jobs to advertise Fundraising managers with wages? 20000 -? 30000 jobs than actual, which actually require a media background.

Now these organizations, these people were using professional form filling and help them win large grants and awards for their projects. The fact is that every week there seems to be more and more positions, but the money that is there in the form of grants, do not seem to be increasing. Providing bodies, it seems, followed suit in the amount of professional people working, applying for grants through the application process much more difficult to get a lot of grants.

How does the organization or charity that is carried out solely by volunteers who all have other day jobs all going to compete with organizations that can employ people at high salaries to apply for these grants and awards? Quite simply they can not. They can not phone the organization, awarding grants, as by the time they finish work offices are closed, and then volunteers a few hours when they are tired after working all day and while caring for the family to try to fill in forms.

Organization worthiness to receive the prize should not be based on the amount employed by them or their offices, but the actual difference they can do. Since many large organizations, you will be surprised how much money they make donations through grants and prizes sent for payment of administrative personnel costs, office and PR campaigns. I would like to say a good 95% of charitable organizations and not for profit, can not afford any of this, as it would not be financially feasible for them to do so. If you are interested to find out where your money goes to charity Commission to go on site or at Companies House website, where you can get annual reports free of charge or at low cost for each registered organization. One thing I would strongly recommend that if you donate money for the organization and you're concerned about where your money is going to specifically say in writing that you want the money spent on a certain territory.
